Work with Shahzad

👋 I’m a marketing leader and creative builder in Brooklyn. I grow SaaS companies—and I founded a fashion brand that landed in the New York Times.

I’ve led product marketing, GTM strategy, and M&A brand integration at Spotify, Logitech, and Box. At earlier-stage startups, I’ve built B2B marketing from zero. Three times.

I own positioning, ship campaigns, and build the creative infrastructure a brand needs to resonate. I’ve told stories in the New York Times, in Vogue, on stage, and in pitch decks that moved pipeline.

The Muse: As Business Marketing Manager, First marketing hire on the B2B side. Stood up HubSpot, built the sales collateral library, and created the marketing operating cadence for a team scaling fast with no playbook.

Ten years into my tech career, I took a sabbatical to do something I’d been circling for a while. At some level, I knew… if not now, when?

The result was Zorsay—a genderfluid joywear line built around rare South Asian textiles. The brand lives at the intersection of the diaspora and house music. Zorsay means louder in Hindi and Urdu, and it’s a rallying cry around identity.

I didn’t just design clothes. I ran the entire operation—brand strategy through production through launch:

  • Brand positioning, visual identity, and creative direction
  • Silhouette design and fabric sourcing across two countries
  • Managing a production team in Pakistan and contractors in New York
  • Building the e-commerce experience and go-to-market plan
  • Launching a popup shop in Williamsburg
  • Landing coverage in the New York Times Style Section

Over a hundred custom garments. A real brand that real people wear and love.

Zorsay is now a beloved side project. I’m back in tech, bringing everything I learned—about building from nothing, about taste, about shipping—into my next marketing leadership role.
